I spotted this post-it meme collage on a dorm window in Davis. I love how there are so many Tumblrers here.
Ha! That’s pretty awesome.
Hoa Viet, in Davis, CA.
I like going here a lot in the winter, because pho makes good warm, comfort food.
The news crews are out on force on campus since Occupy UC Davis started.
AggieTV filmed Nathan Brown full speech at the UC Davis Rally at the Quad.

Nathan Brown Speaks at UC Davis Rally at the Quad 11/21/11
Today on campus, there was a massive rally in protest of and in solidarity against the pepper spraying of peaceful student protesters on campus on Friday evening. This is a brief clip I recorded from assistant professor Nathan Brown’s speech, calling for the resignatio of Chancellor Katehi, removal of campus police, and unity.
“Solidarity, comrades!”
"Militarization of Campus Police" by Bob Ostertag
Here’s a link to the article, if you don’t feel like digging through all the notes to read it. It’s definitely a good read.

Militarization of Campus Police
This UC Davis prof,
Bob Ostertag
responds to the violence on the Davis campus, I saw it via OhPauline and…
Damn. Ostertag’s getting a ton of notes on tumblr. This is one of the my professors, and he is incredible (as are his words). So proud to be a UCD student and Technocultural Studies major right now.

Police Pepper Spraying and Arresting Students at UC Davis
This is footage from campus today. I can’t watch this without feeling incredibly infuriated and sickened. Ugh. FUCK THE POLICE. Seriously.
So, apparently the cops raided the Occupy UC Davis camp today. I wasn’t there to see it, so what little I know is from Aggie TV’s Facebook page. That sucks…

Another reason why my major is awesome:
Just received this in my email.
The faculty in the Program of Cinema and Technocultural Studies expresses its solidarity with the system-wide student strike called for Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
While we leave the decisions about how to honor the strike up to individual faculty members, we support the goals of the strike. We found the UCB Chancellor-approved intervention of campus police and Alameda county sheriff’s deputies on the UCB campus on November 9, 2011 unacceptable.
We support the protest of this intervention as well as of its context: the fundamental transformation of the public character and mission of the University of California.
Sincerely,
The Faculty of Cinema and Technocultural Studies
So, this happened today in the Entertainment Council. We had a couple of droogs promoting A Clockwork Orange on campus.
By the way, if you’re in the Davis area around 7:30 tomorrow night, you should come. It’s FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE, in Chem 194.
